Démarche Artistique
Ma pratique artistique s'articule autour de l’exploration des futurs possibles, investissant le genre de l’anticipation comme un outil critique et prospectif pour cultiver de nouvelles façons de penser l’avenir. Face à l'effondrement de l’idéologie du progrès et à l’urgence climatique, je m’empare des imaginaires liés à l’habitabilité de la planète comme d’une matière à part entière.
Je développe une démarche de « fabulation spéculative », où fictions et éléments empruntés au réel se confondent pour donner naissance à des « narrations-paysages ». Mes œuvres dévoilent des mondes à la frontière entre utopie et dystopie, peuplés de futurs vestiges de notre société industrielle ( ruines brutalistes, machines devenant organiques ou écosystèmes extraterrestres ) qui interrogent notre capacité d’adaptation et de résilience.
Au cœur de mon travail réside un processus génératif hybride, instaurant un dialogue permanent entre le geste manuel et l'outil numérique. Ce va-et-vient entre l'immatériel de l'algorithme (IA générative, modélisation 3D) et la matérialité du dessin (encre de Chine, aquarelle, traceur numérique) produit une tension singulière entre précision technique et imperfection humaine. Le dessin devient alors un acte de résistance lente face à l'immédiateté du flux numérique.
Inspiré par la science-fiction radicale et la philosophie contemporaine, mon travail ne cherche ni à prédire ni à sauver, mais à ouvrir des brèches poétiques dans un présent saturé. À travers ces voyages métaphoriques, je remets au centre de nos imaginaires une question fondamentale : « Où voulons-nous aller ? ».
Artist Statement
My artistic practice focuses on exploring possible futures, using the genre of anticipation as a critical and prospective tool to cultivate new ways of thinking about what lies ahead. In response to the collapse of the ideology of progress and the climate emergency, I engage with imaginaries of "planetary habitability" as a primary medium.
I develop a process of "speculative fabulation," where fiction and elements borrowed from reality merge to create "landscape-narratives". My work reveals worlds on the edge of utopia and dystopia, inhabited by the future vestiges of our industrial society (brutalist ruins, machines turning organic, or extraterrestrial ecosystems) that question our capacity for adaptation and resilience.
At the core of my work lies a hybrid generative process, establishing a permanent dialogue between manual gesture and digital tools. This back-and-forth between the immateriality of the algorithm (generative AI, 3D modeling) and the materiality of drawing (India ink, watercolor, pen plotter) produces a singular tension between technical precision and human imperfection. Drawing thus becomes an act of slow resistance against the immediacy of the digital flow.
Inspired by radical science fiction and contemporary philosophy, my work seeks neither to predict nor to save, but to open poetic breaches in a saturated present. Through these metaphorical journeys, I place a fundamental question back at the center of our collective imagination: "Where do we want to go?"
